Title:
Convivial Economies
Convivial Economies
The projectHow might we inhabit art institutional economies otherwise? My research is driven by questioning the edges of curatorial practice, by feeling the entanglements and contaminations with other modes of being in and knowing the world, in particular ideas of economy.
Drawing upon practices of community economics, my research probes the traces and shadows that hover within capitalist institutional systems and considers how they might offer a new art institutional economy in the making, one that does not arrive and will never be fully known. I take up the term convivial to advance the terms on which we might gather to activate such economic re-imaginings.
